Haiti_earthquake Appealing
Dear members and all Muslim brothers and sisters
Assalamua alaikum wa rahmatulah wa brakatuh
May Allah bless you with the highest of Iman and the best of health.
The 7.3 magnitude devastating earthquake that shattered Haiti last week has caused extensive damage to the country, claiming 50,000 lives and leaving countless of people homeless. It is believed death toll will reach 200,000 or more. Residents are desperate for food, water, shelter and medicines. International efforts are being launched for rescue.
As Muslims, we care not only our fellow Muslims but all those who are in need. We therefore appeal to our members and all Muslims to donate generously for this humanitarian cause. Donations will be sent to the Haiti victims through proper channels.
We recommend donations be made in the form of “Sadaqat”.
