AS PEACE-LOVING CITIZENS OF HONG KONG WE STRONGLY
CONDEMN ISRAEL’S USE OF FORCE AGAINST PEACE FLOTILLA
HONG KONG is a cosmopolitan international city and as peace-loving citizens we strongly condemn the use of blatant force by Israel against a humanitarian Mission that was on its way solely for the purpose of delivering humanitarian aid to the besieged Palestinian people in Gaza. The attack absolutely carried neither any legality nor any rationality. It was absolutely inhuman act of state terrorism.
Multiplying the shamelessness, the Israeli prime minister added fuel to the fire of human emotions across the globe that the attack was a mere self-defense. When the Israeli commandos landed on the ship in such terrifying manner, was that unnatural for the aid-workers to run here and there and safeguard themselves from commandos’ brazen firing?
1.5 million Innocent people of Gaza without food and medicines have been beseeched and are left on the mercy of NGOs. How can such helpless people be a threat to Israeli security?
We are proud to be citizens of Hong Kong as we enjoy freedom of expression and graceful livelihood. Core human rights and values for the entire humanity are the concern of every one of us. In view of this latest Israeli violation of international law, we extend our appeal to every citizen of Hong Kong to unanimously condemn this inhuman action as it is undeniably a serious humanitarian issue.
In collaboration with various NGOs and many individuals whose conscience cannot remain silent at inhuman treatment of fellow human beings regardless of geographical boundaries, a peaceful protest is being planned on ………… We appeal to all the citizens of Hong Kong to participate in this peaceful protest to show our concern.
At the same time we extend our best wishes and support to the families of those who lost their lives or got injured while serving as ambassadors of human cause.
