 Islamic Quiz Competition


15 April 2012 (Sunday)


Objective:

To encourage youth to gain Islamic knowledge and to understand it in its true sense and apply
 it in daily routines to enlighten their lives.


Important Information & Guidelines:


  1. The competition will be held on 15 April 2012 (Sunday).


  2. The venue of the competition will be Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College, Chai Wan.


  3. Both Muslim and Non-Muslim students can participate in the competition.

  4. Participants will be divided into two categories. Junior Group  and  Senior Group

  5. Age Range:    Junior Group: Date of Birth must be on or after 1st Jan 1998.

         Senior Group:  Date of Birth must be between 01-01-1994 to 31-12-1997

  6. Only team entry will be entertained. Each team must consists of 3 participants (All boys, all girls or mixed).

  7. The competition will be held in two rounds. 
   7.1 First Round:  All participants will individually do a written test (Multiple Choice Format). The score  of the individual members of the team will be added up to get the team score.
   7.2  Final Round:    Top teams from the first round will participate in the on-stage oral quiz session.

  8. Registration
    Registration period is from 18 Jan to 18 March 2012. Entry forms will be available at all mosques,  madrassahs, Islamic schools and at the website of Islamic Kasim Tuet Memorial College.

  9. Suggested syllabus (but not limited to)

  Senior Group: Life of Muhammad (PBUH), Great Muslim heroes (including four caliphs),
  The great Muslim women, Social system in Islam, Economic system in Islam, Political system in Islam, Selected verses of the Holy Quran and introduction of Hadith,Muslim inventions 
  Junior Group: Islamic Beliefs, Five Pillars (Islamic Duties), Prophet’s life,  Allah’s Attributes, translation and understanding of last 12 Suras and Surah Fatiha. Halal and Haram, Morals and Manners in Islam, Hadith and Sunnah,

  10. Prizes:  Very attractive prizes will be offered to the Champions. Details will be announced later.
  First Runner Up, Second Runner Up and 3rd Runner Up teams will also be awarded with attractive prizes. All participants will receive certificates of participation and souvenirs.
